Reverend McLaughlin’s undergraduate studies in biblical studies and languages were done at Biola University with post-graduate studies – master of divinity (M.Div.) from Talbot Theological Seminary. His master's studies in biblical languages were done at Bethel University, and his master’s and doctoral degree studies in Old Testament & Renewal Theology were done at Regent University, School of Divinity. Reverend McLaughlin’s Th.D. studies were done at St. Luke's Anglican-Orthodox Seminary. He also holds D.Litt. & Ph.D. from Wolsey Hall College/Oxford, UK – St. Alcuin House Seminary in Hebrew Literature & Biblical Hebrew.

Reverend McLaughlin holds Holy Orders as a Priest from the Anglican Church Worldwide and the Episcopal Missionary Church. He was conferred and ordained as a Messianic Jewish Rabbi of Beth Messiah (MBI) in February 2004. He was also consecrated as a Bishop in the Anglican Church and served as the Presiding Bishop & Bishop Ordinary – Diocese of the East for the Episcopal Missionary Church.

Reverend McLaughlin recently served as the Provost & Academic Dean and Chairperson of the Biblical Studies and Languages at the University of Valley Forge – Virginia Campus. His current episcopate residence is at Christ Anglican Church in Warrenton, VA. He is also on the Board of Directors at the Reformed Episcopal Seminary, PA.

Reverend McLaughlin is the author of numerous papers, with the most recent publication of a book entitled Ruach in the Psalms and a book entitled Threads of Theosis in the Tanakh.

In his personal life, Reverend McLaughlin is married to Christine Marie McLaughlin with three grown daughters and four grandchildren (two granddaughters and two grandsons). His personal interests include biblical languages and studies, motorcycles, and playing golf when time allows.

Father Dan was raised in the mountains of western Pennsylvania. He was raised in a home where his mother was Roman Catholic and his father was Episcopal. Upon graduation from high school, he enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh studying Law and Law Enforcement. Worried that he might get drafted, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 13 years. It was here where he met his wife Dian. They have been happily married now for 40 years.

Upon leaving the Navy, he went to work in the Washington D.C. area and worked for different contractors to the federal government as an Electronics Engineer and Architect. It was during this time that he again received the calling to enter the ministry. After three decades as an Engineer, he started taking seminary courses in the United Methodist church with plans to be ordained. He left engineering and became a contract Investigator for the Federal Government and completed his seminary education.

As God does, He led Father Dan to Christ Church where he was commissioned a Lay Eucharistic Minister and served with Father Brian. He went on to be ordained Deacon and continued to serve with Father Brian and Father Gary. After examination, he was ordained Priest and although he had plans to ‘retire’, was called to serve his now family at Christ Church.

He and Dian now reside back in his childhood area in Pennsylvania, but continue to love and serve Christ Church.

Fr. Emmanuel Saidi was born in Malawi, Africa. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theology at Chancelor College, University of Malawi and was ordained a Catholic priest in August 1991.

Fr. Emmanuel received a master’s degree in Religious Studies at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington, and a Licentiate (Sacrae Theologiae Licentiatus – S.T.L.) in Moral Theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, Boston, Massachusetts. He later studied Health Care Ethics at St. Louis University, St Louis, Missouri, and Pastoral Counseling at Breyer State University. In his Ph.D. studies, he concentrated in Ethics of Health Care (Bioethics), Pastoral Counseling, and Thanatogy (the study of the needs of the terminally ill and their families).

Fr. Emmanuel has had ministry experience in parishes and the training of Catholic priests. In addition to his role as the Rector of his Alma Mater, St. Peter’s Major Seminary, he was the secretary for the Theological Commission of the Episcopal (Catholic Bishops) Conference of Malawi.

From 2009 to 2011, Fr. Emmanuel took a residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. In his second year, he specialized in chaplaincy with psychiatric patients. After two years, Fr. Emmanuel was accepted as a candidate for certified clinical education that he completed in 2016. He acquired a Certificate in Curriculum Development with the Johns Hopkins Medical Academic System in 2014. He became a full certified educator in clinical pastoral education with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Inc. in 2017.

Fr. Emmanuel has authored a few journal articles, presentations, and a book, and is presently working on a second book.

He was received in the Anglican communion in 2021. Fr. Emmanuel is the Director of Medstar Washington Hospital Center Department of Spiritual Care where he is teaching CPE and now lives in Towson, Maryland, with his wife and son.
